Silicon manganese zirconium alloy
Low melting point, type A graphite, high grade alloy cast iron
Mn
Neutralizes the harmful effects of sulfur to form MnS and (FMn) S compounds, which are distributed in the body in the form of particles. The melting point of these compounds is above 1600 ° C, which not only does not hinder graphitization, but also can be used as graphitized non-spontaneous crystal core.
The mass fraction of casting manganese is controlled at 0.5-1.4%, which can stabilize and refine pearlite. Within this content range, with the increase of manganese content, the strength and hardness of cast iron increase, but the plasticity and toughness decrease.
Zr
It can combine with sulfur and oxygen, absorb hydrogen and fix nitrogen, purify molten iron, and help eliminate the porosity in castings (especially alloy cast iron and a large number of scrap steel).
Forming a crystalline core of zirconium carbide, obtaining uniform A-type graphite, improving the distribution of graphite structure, delaying the decline of pregnancy, and reducing the tendency to white mouth.
The silicon-manganese-zirconium alloy fully couples alloy elements such as zirconium, manganese, calcium, barium, and aluminum. For high-grade alloy cast iron, it improves the mechanical properties of castings, improves the processing performance of castings, reduces the amount of alloys added, and reduces slag inclusions.
